Company History
The Waterval Minerale was established in 1989, and was one of the very first natural spring mineral water bottling companies in the Country. In 1997 when there was a boom in the mineral water industry, some fly by night companies started to spring out across the board and the quality of mineral bottled water became the necessity which later transpired in the formation of the SANBWA (South African Natural Bottled Water Association) which is the regional regularity body to inspect the standard of the mineral water and bottling plants. Needless to say Waterval Minerale was the founding member of this association.

Water Source “The Waterval Spring”
The history of the Waterval spring is as old as mankind itself. Some 100 years ago horse riders spotted the unusual congregation of herds and birds on the meadows of Waterval. Upon inspection, they discovered that hiding beneath the surface there was a natural spring. Geologically, the spring was situated in a blanket of rock granite, water was filtering through the rock granite and rose to the surface bringing all the goodness of Mother Earth in the form of mineral water.
